Who we are
Limmat Capital was founded in 2005 by Raphael Rutz and Ramon Huber (former proprietary traders at Swiss banks). Ramon and Raphael have worked in the industry since 1986 and 1991, respectively, and have worked together as a team since 1996.
Since 2005, Limmat Capital has evolved from a proprietary trading boutique into a multi-disciplinary investment management firm. Our vision is to inspire an inventive culture and achieve the full potential and prosperity for our clients, employees, and partners. We want to continue to build upon our history and grow a world-class organization servicing the whole spectrum of investors.
Limmat Capital employs eight people, five of which are investment professionals. Professional backgrounds of the team include floor and proprietary trading, macro, fundamental and quantitative research.

Limmat Capital manages several investment products, including three funds domiciled in the Cayman Islands, one Luxembourg UCITS fund, one separately managed account, and one actively managed certificate (AMC) .
LC Equity Fund, Ltd.
The fund is a tactical long/short equity fund with a focus on liquid European equities and equity futures.
Limmat Qore Diversified Fund, Ltd.
This investment program distills more than a decade of quant equity market experience and combines it with our long-standing passion for statistical learning theory to deliver an investment product with very attractive characteristics. With rigorous scientific approach, significant returns can be collected by dynamically assessing and learning the emerging patterns beyond the well-known market anomalies. Solid infrastructure developed over the years and state-of-art machine learning technology allow us to handle the complexity required for running a modern equity stat-arb strategy, in a lean and scalable setup. Not being constrained by the inevitable challenges associated with running a higher asset base, the strategy benefits from a richer investment opportunity set, more efficient executions and the potential for quick portfolio turnover, which all add to the investment program’s edge and translate into additional returns for our investors.
Avance Stability Fund
The fund is an open-ended exempted investment company incorporated in the Cayman Islands. The Fund's investment objective is to produce stable long-term returns by investing in bonds, equities, precious metals and alternative investments.
LIMMAT CAPITAL SICAV - LC Equity Fund (UCITS)
The fund pursues a long-biased fundamental equity strategy focused on European and US markets. Assets are predominately invested in companies with a proven track record of compounding cash flow or earnings over sustained periods of time. Hedging techniques will be applied to cushion assets against higher volatility. The portfolio is managed with a 3- to 5-year time horizon and not managed in reference to a benchmark.

AMC on Limmat Capital Short-Term Trading
The investment objective is to achieve long-term capital growth by trading in liquid instruments (futures, equities, commodities, FX and bonds) by applying a discretionary approach focusing on price action and technical patterns. Holding period is intraday to a couple days.
